God I love this!!! I do notice a huge change in my mindset if I wear something a little different or that has more 'oomph' than usual. Can I request a post (hehe) of a week in outfits? I would loooove to see!!
Your last point reminded me of the other Saturday, when I was still hungry after going out for food and a drink so made myself dumplings when we got home. I kept having to remind myself that my brain telling me I wasn't allowed was actually rubbish because I'm an adult and can do what I want. It was 🌟 liberating 🌟
Thank you Soph!!!! 💕Omg a week in outfits?! I'd have to include the days where I run out of steam and go to work looking like a total slob 😂 the further through the week we get, the less fabulous the outfits!!
no it's so weird because when I bought my projector I asked my dad if it was ok, and he was like well you earn your own money so you can do what you like - here I am at the big age of 24 asking my parents permission for literally everything and they literally couldn't care less 😂
Yesss I’d love to see that tho!! Because we all decline in effort as the days go on 😭
Pahaha this is so funny - reminds me of the time in Year 13 I was going to the pub at 8pm and my mum was like ?? but that’s bedtime and my stepdad went “Rach she’s 18 ffs” 😂
I love this! This is really the true magic of being an adult. Despite the many horrors, we really can do what we want. I’m thirty, but sometimes the thought still makes me giddy. I just booked a flight to Paris bc I can! And you can bet I’ll be wearing cute shoes when I’m there :)
I still kind of get that feeling when I walk into a grocery store. Like… I can buy whatever sugary cereal or junk food I want?! I wonder when that goes away hahaha
Ahhh I adored this! What a great New Year's resolution ❤️ You're so right about those rom-com feels and, honestly, what a good reminder to wear the nice stuff just because we can. Every day can and should be a special occasion, really.
Agree with this all the way Ella! I try to do this more and more, like wearing my favourite perfume rather than saving it for special occasions or wearing that jumper I really like rather than keeping it safe in the wardrobe. I can see how bad I used to be with this based on how many body mists I have in my drawer from when I was a teenager. It makes me feel sorry for my younger self who tried to use them as little as she could so they wouldn't run out. But now I don't use them anymore. So learning from my younger self I realise now - just use the damn perfume!
Loved this! I'm so guilty of just sticking to my trainers cause they're comfy. Definitely need to start embracing the joy of wearing pretty shoes again ...even if I can't walk at 100mph in them 😅
This is so relatable!! I started putting my jewelry on every morning which is silly since I work remotely from home but it makes me feel so nice and put together
Loved this Ella! I was nodding along as you were explaining how a fancier pair of shoes gave you a pep in your step (pardon the pun) and made you feel more positive generally 🙌🏻 Too often, we don't allow ourselves the space to do things simply because we want to. (Also, when my boyfriend and I move back in together, you best believe I'm now adding a projector to our list of purchases - LOVE)

Also, waiting on that garden cinema invite xo

Omg PARIS?!!?! You'll have the best time. I hope you'll write about it!! There really is no better place for pretty shoes than Paris. ❤️🇫🇷
It's so funny because every time I remember I can actually do whatever I want I feel like a naughty child at school! So liberating!
I still kind of get that feeling when I walk into a grocery store. Like… I can buy whatever sugary cereal or junk food I want?! I wonder when that goes away hahaha
And thank you! I’m so excited!

Thank you Michelle! It's like your 1% better ideology, just something small that can change the way you feel can make the world of difference. ❤️👡

Omg this has reminded me of my collection of Hollister body sprays 😂 I used to save up my pocket money for those!!
No same! That’s exactly what I was referencing about and Victoria Secret sprays yikes I have way to many 🫣

Thank you Lily!! Trust me, I'm still best friends with my trainers 😅

No I get it!!! Even if it's some sort of placebo effect I feel like it makes you think differently
This is SO CUTE Ella!! I loved it, as always
Aww thank you Freya! I appreciate that so much 🤗🤗💕
the shoe thing is so real because a cute outfit to a cafe really does make a girl feel like she’s starring in a romcom
Yes exactly!!! And if it makes you feel good, that’s good enough. ☺️ thank you so much for reading jani!
Yes to all of this, but particularly the projector. It just makes films SO much better.
Taking inspiration from you to do some more things just because!
Ahh thank you for reading Allie! 💞 projectors are such a game changer, I can’t believe I never thought of it before!!
