Thanks so much for sharing my 'shaming singles' post ❤️ glad that it triggered some alternative thoughts.
And I couldn't agree with you more about there not being a 'right' way to do things, or to be 'successful', it's about doing things your own way and works best for you xx
It’s cooking dinner every night, that’s what makes my day successful! My work schedule is hepatic and honesty I have to order out numerous amount of times
but if I have the time to cook dinner, I immediately felt success on that day because I can sit on the couch, watch TV while eating a home cooked meal!
Yes Susanne! I completely agree, coming home after a long day and being able to collect the energy to cook a wholesome meal is a game changer. It's the simple things that make the biggest difference!
I really like this perspective and some of these alternative ways of measuring success. Also it helps me to think of there being an unlimited amount of 'success' (however it's defined) available, it's not a limited resource. Someone else's success does not mean there is somehow less to go around for everyone else.
My favourite time of the week is heeeeere!!! Thank you so much for including my piece in your list, you know I 🩷 Sunny Side Up.
On some days, for me success is just getting the basics done; if I get out of bed, brush my teeth and eat then that day is a success! I love how you say success is built up of lots of different things because it's so true. In general a day is a success for me if those little things happen. It usually starts with getting a good night's sleep 🤣
You're smashing it out the park with these posts Soph, watch out or you'll find yourself in next week's edition too!
Exactly!! Success is just being happy with the bare minimum imo, if we wait for the big things all the time then we'd consider every other day a failure which simply isn't true. Second a good nights sleep, if we have that then we've won! 💗
Is it wrong that I’m comforted by the fact writing is also ruining your sleep schedule? This was such a joy to read, genuinely lifted my mood on this very grim, cold Wednesday morning. Thank you for sharing!!
Thank you Madeline! Me too, I don't understand why we're not taught to think that way from when we're little. Opportunities come so much easier when we think more openly and supportively!
I love your posts ☺️☺️

It honestly is such a game changer when you have a home cooked meal! I eat out consistently and I’m sick and tired of it and want a home cooked meal!
Laughing once a day is a definite measure of success! Sometimes the days are hard but a smile, laugh or seeing a dog helps.
100%, seeing a dog boosts the day, getting to cuddle one? Winner.
Always such a pleasure reading your posts 💞
🥹🥹 thank you so much Lauren! I really appreciate you reading
