I can so relate to the staying in and the balance of friendships. I love the idea in my head of my going out with friends and I always enjoy it but making myself do it…ugh. Near impossible. It’s something about the looming commitment I think because I don’t mind this as much when it’s spur of the moment (which isn’t often because I’m very much a planner!)
Ahh YES!! This is me!! The longer I have to think about it, the less I want to do it. Which is crazy, because we should be excited for these things!! I never regret doing it and always have fun, so I don’t understand the dread?? Good to know it’s not just me though!! 🩵
Loooove as always!! We both watched Scooby Doo last week which is hilariously in sync 🤣
I love the point you make about balance and that self care isn't always staying at home with a face mask. Not long ago I was feeling really "meh" and realised I just needed a good old chit chat with one of my girls instead of hunkering down with a book.
Also, a random fact but I actually met Cheska when I was like 12 at her mum's old shop in Salcombe (not sure if it's still open online maybe!). I had no clue who she was because I didn't watch Made in Chelsea but I got a pic anyway 🤣
The concept of the new year rolling around scares me too! I think it's the pressure of new years resolutions (might write an article on this) and how it feels like you need to have it all together on January. I saw somebody write something about the whole 'locking in' trend that's going around on social media and I think things like that put sooo much pressure and a negative sense of guilt on you if you don't begin working out everyday or drinking 2L of water everyday etc. I like to take the new year slow and not put any pressure on new years resolutions at all. Just glad to be here! Great post Ella! <3
Yes, totally agree. Like we have to pull a Cinderella and transform into a new person by midnight 😫 yes!! I keep seeing 75 hard (think that's what it's called) and it just looks like immense pressure and stress, I just think there must be easier ways to accomplish things. Everything in moderation!! Thank you so much for reading Ciara ♥️
"Equally, I don’t want to burn myself out. It’s all about striking the right balance. Balance can look different every day." – I love this for you! This realisation is truly what it's all about.
Being able to see any day as a chance for a fresh start is a wonderful trait, and I really enjoyed reading this. I've been thinking about my cosy, quiet evenings and wondering whether I'm in a little too much of a routine. I too need to beat the anxiety and see friends mid-week once in a while 😬
Thank you Michelle!! 💕 A cosy evening is absolutely necessary sometimes!! I just find that when I do it too often I feel like I need to push myself out my comfort zone a little bit. I never want to do things after work but then it always feels like I've refilled my cup when I do

I don't either!! If you figure it out let me know, because it has never made any sense to me 🤷♀️

Hahahah yes I love that you watched it too!! Honestly I wouldn't say no if they made another one, it's so good
Yes!! I think it's too easy for us to stay at home and stay in our bubbles, I do it all the time and am slowly realising it's not a healthy habit
Omg no way!! What a claim to fame haha
Thank you for reading Soph as always 🩷
